It’s not just fishing! Management of arapaima happens all year long and is very well planned, and everything is coordinated by the force of the flooded forest. Invasion of the lakes is prohibited and monitoring is needed. The quantity of fish in the lakes need to be monitored in order to know if the population is growing. Not to mention, the transportation of the fish, which many times are carried on fishermen’s backs.
